How to Book

Phone our Reservations Department on 01608 738286. The office is open 5 days per week, from 9.30-5.30, or you can leave a message on the answer phone at any time, and this will be dealt with as soon as the office re-opens. Alternatively you can book through your ABTA travel agent. All bookings require that a booking form be signed and sent to us, either by post to: Madeira House, High St, Hook Norton, Oxon OX15 5NH, or fax on 01608 730489 or e-mail: info@destination-portugal.co.uk.
Accommodation
All of these places offer something special, either in terms of location, views, value, style or simply atmosphere. We have added some Special Interest trips for those people who wish to do more with their holidays than relax on a seashore or go in search of culture. There are also some "pre-packaged" prices for The Azores and for Boating holidays in the Alentejo.
All of the rates shown in the brochure are per villa per week, unless otherwise stated. Access to the various properties is generally 4.00pm, and 10.00am on their departure days (if special arrangements are required please ask).
Your Mastercard/Visa/Amex card number will be required as security against damage/breakage deposit of £100 or other amount as specified. The card will only be used by Destination Portugal in the event of such damage/breakage occurring. Please note the issuing of a card number to Destination Portugal is deemed authority by the card holder for Destination Portugal to claim up to £100 deposit against damage/breakage and unpaid bills, if such a deduction proves necessary.
DEPOSITS: Some properties require different breakage/damage deposits, and these will be advised to you at time of booking, or as detailed in the brochure.
Arrival days ( for villas and apartments) are generally Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but some flexibility is possible. No specified changeover days or set durations are applicable for stays at hotels. Maid service is as specified.
Car Parking & Airport Hotels
We can offer you very favourable rates for overnight stays at airport hotels - (some of which offer free parking) and for parking either 'on' or 'off' any of the UK airports, by means of pre-paid voucher. Chauffeur Parking (wonderful service!) is also available at very reasonable charge. Full details on request.
Flights
Destination Portugal can quote you very competitively on flights to your holiday destination.
You can fly on any day of the week you choose with a wide range of charter and scheduled flights from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, East Midlands, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast or Dublin.
If it is easier for you to fly from another airport, we will also be happy to quote you for this and connecting flights from regional airports, or even upgrade to Club Class! We have specially negotiated fares with Air Portugal, Aer Lingus and several other airlines, and can therefore offer you Tour Operator rates when booking accommodation, and/or car hire and travel insurance.
Special Offers
These are available from time to time in different airlines, and we will be happy to advise you on these fares. We are fully computerised and therefore able to offer you all the up to the minute details of availability. We can arrange tickets at very short notice, the same day if required, and an email confirmation sent through to you.
SPECIAL REQUESTS or DISABILITIES
Please be sure to notify the person taking your reservation about any special needs that you may have in terms of disabled facilities, or any other special requests, so that we can do all that we can to offer you accommodation that will be able to offer you whatever is needed. Some properties are more "disabled friendly" than others, dependant upon layout and facilities, but if we are made aware of those needs, we will do all we can to facilitate them. Other special requests like cots and high chairs, or flowers, or champagne etc, can normally easily be arranged in advance if we receive a request at the time of booking.
Odd Durations
We can often be flexible about the amount of time spent at a particular hotel or villa - it can be fun to have one week in a place and then move on to another part of the country - or if you are staying in Northern Spain to drive over into Portugal. Very often flights have more seats available on weekdays..... therefore enticing you to spend an extra few days.
Special Diets
We are pleased to be able to offer special dietary needs in any of the individual hotels/pousadas etc. featured in this brochure, or on any flights booked for you.
Ferries
Clients who wish to travel by ferry, and perhaps take their own car, can benefit from the very competitively priced fares we offer.
